My lungs protest when I run the first kilometer, the thermometer shows -6 degrees Celsius. The body and lungs get warmer and the remaining 8 kilometers are easier. The surroundings are like a painting where the artist enhances the gray-blue hue. I am fascinated by what I see and forget the cold, everything feels unreal. Once in the croft, I step into the heat and warm myself in front of the fire in the tiled stove.
